Scripture Texts: John 20

Sermon: From Death to Life – The Breath of God

The world we live in today is much the same as it was that Sunday evening after Jesus’ Resurrection when the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders.

As we will see in this breathtaking encounter from John 20, the locked room of human despair is blown wide open by perfect love. Jesus still steps into the very places where we have locked ourselves away in shame or anxiety. He brings the dawn of His Resurrection directly into our darkest, most hidden corners. The Holy Spirit is an absolute reality that heals our hearts, breathes fresh life into our tired soul, and pours out a radical forgiveness that changes absolutely everything.
