Worship Service for the Week of February 8th, 2026
Scripture Texts: Ephesians 3:14-21
Sermon: Experiencing the Love of God.
This week Michael Bouterse continues our study of Ephesians by teaching on Paul's longest prayer in Scripture. Our lives are beset with any number of problems. But Paul shows us that behind all our problems there's really only one problem—and in Ephesians 3:14-21 he prays for the solution. This Sunday, we'll discover that the love of God is wider, longer, broader, and deeper than we ever could have imagined and that it's possible not just to know about it intellectually but actually experience it personally.

Discussion Questions
Icebreaker: What is one thing you see happening at One Hope Church that excites you right now? (Or, if you’re new to OHC, what’s one thing you’ve noticed about OHC as you’ve visited?)
- One Hope Church is in a season of transition. What opportunities and what risks does that transition present for the church? How can you (personally) and we (corporately) take advantage of the opportunities and be on guard against the risks?
- Michael spoke about the risk of having a “false familiarity” with Jesus—of having so much intellectual knowledge about God but little personal experience with God. Where do you see this tendency in your life? In the life of One Hope Church?
- What has helped deepen your experience of God’s love for you? Do you have any stories of how His love became more real in your life?
- (Possible answers to the first part of the question could include: suffering, trials, friendship with other believers, Scripture, prayer, community, attending church, marriage/singleness/divorce… and so on.)
