A One Hope Online Worship Resource
Scripture Texts: 2 Samuel 7:8-13
Sermon: The Covenant of the Kingdom
It’s been almost one year since Queen Elizabeth II died after being the longest reigning English monarch in history, over 70 years. And then back in May of this year was good to see Charles finally get a real job at age 73 and stop living off his mom. Isn’t it interesting how fascinated our nation continues to be with the British Royal family? Why is that? This Sunday we delve into the answer.

Small Group Discussion Questions
Icebreaker Question:
If you could make a documentary about anything, what would it be?
Discussion Questions:
1. How is making Jesus your King part of what it means to be "saved"? How do the titles 'Savior' and 'Lord' fit together in our understanding of who Jesus is to us?
2. Peter talked about Jesus being a different kind of king. Sometimes we interpret our worldly understanding of what a king is, into our understanding of Jesus as King. How might you need to re-learn what it means that Jesus is our King?
3. Good Kings do a lot of things. They bring order out of chaos. They rid the countryside of bandits. They protect. They bring the "King's peace". If your heart is a country, what do you most need King Jesus to do in that country?
